§ 12-108. Labor organization.

  • Labor organization is a lawful organization of any kind in which employees participate and which exists for the purpose, in whole or in part, of dealing with employers concerning compensation, hours, grievances, and other terms and conditions of employment, but does not include an organization which:

    (1)

    Assists or participates in a strike against the City or imposes a duty or obligation to conduct, assist, or participate in such a strike;

    (2)

    Advocates the overthrow of the constitutional form of government of the United States, or any political subdivision thereof;

    (3)

    Discriminates with regard to the terms or conditions of membership because of race, color, creed, sex, age, or national origin; or

    (4)

    Is not in conformance with section 12-208 of this Code.
