§ 13-1101. Cash deposits.

(a)

Prior to the issuance of any permit for structure moving, the structure mover shall submit an itemized list of the anticipated costs of services which the City might reasonably incur while a structure is being moved within the City, such as personnel and equipment expenditures in blocking streets, temporarily removing traffic control devices and utility lines, and providing fire or police escorts.

(b)

Upon approval by the Public Works Department and any other involved City departments, the structure mover shall post a cash deposit twice the anticipated costs.

(c)

A portion of the deposit shall be returned to the structure mover after deduction of the actual costs to the City for the services provided, and for the repair or replacement of any City property damaged while the structure was being moved.
