§ 13-1603. Prohibited acts.
(a)
No person shall solicit business for any pawnshop from any person in a public place, or call to or in any manner attract the attention of such person in a public place for the purpose of patronizing any pawnshop.
(b)
No pawnbroker shall purchase, take, receive, conceal, alter, or dispose of any stolen property, or property the pawnbroker suspects to have been stolen or unlawfully obtained.
(c)
No pawnbroker shall purchase, take, or receive in pledge or on deposit, or accept possession of any article of property from persons who are under, or whom the pawnbroker suspects are under, the influence of alcoholic beverages or drugs.
(d)
No pawnbroker shall purchase or advance money to any person under the age of twenty-one (21) years upon any pistol or revolver; nor to any person under eighteen (18) years of age upon any other article, without the written consent of the parent or guardian of that under twenty-one (21) or under eighteen (18) years aged person.
