§ 13-2603. Sign contractor's bond.
No sign contractor's license shall be issued until the applicant therefor shall have submitted to the City Clerk, or designee thereof, a bond in the sum of two thousand dollars ($2,000.00) to be known as the "sign contractor's bond." The terms of said bond shall provide that the licensee shall conduct his business in compliance with all the ordinances of the City which relate either indirectly or directly to the regulation of signs and sign contractors; said bond shall provide for the protection and indemnification of the City against all damages caused by any injury to persons or property on account of negligence of the licensee. Such bond shall be a corporate surety bond, cash or certificate of deposit payable to the City. Such bond shall be renewed annually, and no person, firm or corporation shall engage in the business of sign contractor without a valid sign contractor's bond being in force and effect.
