§ 20-602. Required equipment.

(a)

Except as otherwise provided, no person shall operate a vehicle upon the streets of the City unless it is equipped with:

(1)

Brakes,

(2)

Flags,

(3)

Horns or other warning devices,

(4)

Lights,

(5)

Mirrors and safety glass,

(6)

Mufflers suitable, sufficient and in constant operation so as to prevent excessive noise, and

(7)

Tires,

as required by Title 47, Oklahoma Statutes, section 12-201 et seq., 12-301 et seq., 12-401 et seq., which are hereby incorporated into the Code of the City of Norman, Oklahoma with the same force and effect as if fully set out in this subsection.

(b)

All such required equipment shall be used when and as required by said applicable state law.
