§ 2-205. Notice.
(a)
Whenever an inspector exercises his power and authority pursuant to this article in ordering compliance with this Code, notice shall personally be given to the responsible person or his agent, or sent by certified mail to such person's last known address. If such persons are not personally located and no address is known, the notice shall be posted in a conspicuous place on the building, the structure, or the premises.
(b)
Such notice and order shall:
(1)
Be in writing;
(2)
List the specific noncompliance with this Code;
(3)
Specify the action to be taken;
(4)
Provide a reasonable time for compliance with this Code.
(c)
Whenever the Council by resolution declares a building or structure to be a nuisance under section 2-204(h) of this Code, the City Clerk shall file written notice with the County Clerk's Office of pending abatement and possible assessment against the property for the City's expense.
(d)
At such time as the removal of a dilapidated building or nuisance abatement proceedings are abandoned by the City, or at such time as all expenses for the removal or abatement are paid to the City after abatement of said nuisance, the City Clerk shall file with the County Clerk's Office notice of said abandonment of proceedings or payment of expense.
