§ 21-111. Rates for sanitation service.

  • (a)

    For one (1) roll-out cart supplied by City (of any size), and for thirty-two (32) gallons or less containers supplied by customer for yard waste pickup;

    (1)

    Apartment units, fourteen dollars ($14.00) per month.

    (2)

    Other residences and mobile homes, fourteen dollars ($14.00) per month.

    (3)

    Apartment, residential and mobile home users under subsections (1) and (2) above, who are low income as defined by Section 8 of the Housing Act of 1937, amended by the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as annually adjusted, ten dollars and fifty cents ($10.50) per month.

    (4)

    Apartment, residential and mobile home users under subsections (1) and (2) above, desiring more than one (1) roll-out cart supplied by City, will be charged an additional monthly administrative fee for each additional roll-out cart. The administrative fee will be on file in the City Clerk's office.

    (5)

    Commercial users not utilizing packer containers shall be provided large roll-out carts, each cart containing approximately ninety-six (96) gallons:

    a.

    Nineteen dollars and sixty-four cents ($19.64) per month per business unit, not to exceed collection of four (4) large roll-out carts per month.

    b.

    Five dollars and sixty-eight cents ($5.68) for each additional large roll-out cart per month over four (4) and up to seventeen (17) large roll-out carts per month.

    c.

    Two dollars and eighty-eight cents ($2.88) for each additional large roll-out cart greater than seventeen (17) per month.

    (b)

    For commercial packer containers:

    (1)

    Two-yard containers, fifty-two dollars and twelve cents ($52.12) monthly minimum, seven dollars and four cents ($7.04) per yard per special pickup;

    (2)

    Three-yard containers, sixty-six dollars and thirty-four cents ($66.34) monthly minimum, five dollars and ninety-five cents ($5.95) per yard per special pickup;

    (3)

    Four-yard containers, seventy-eight dollars and seventeen cents ($78.17) monthly minimum, five dollars and fifteen cents ($5.15) per yard per special pickup;

    (4)

    Five-yard containers, ninety dollars and two cents ($90.02) monthly minimum, four dollars and seventy-five cents ($4.75) per yard per special pickup;

    (5)

    Six-yard containers, ninety-seven dollars and twelve cents ($97.12) monthly minimum, four dollars and forty-eight cents ($4.48) per yard per special pickup;

    (6)

    Eight-yard containers, one hundred thirteen dollars and seventy-one cents ($113.71) monthly minimum, four dollars and seven cents ($4.07) per yard per special pickup;

    (7)

    Ten-yard containers, one hundred thirty dollars and twenty-eight cents ($130.28) monthly minimum, three dollars and seventy-nine cents ($3.79) per yard per special pickup;

    (8)

    Twelve-yard containers, one hundred forty-six dollars and eighty-eight cents ($146.88) monthly minimum, three dollars and fifty-two cents ($3.52) per yard per special pickup.

    (c)

    For compactors:

    (1)

    Thirty-eight-yard compactor unit, three hundred ninety-seven dollars and ninety-eight cents ($397.98) monthly service charge, plus nine dollars and thirty-five cents ($9.35) per yard per pickup;

    (2)

    Charges for other size compactor units shall be established by the City Controller, using current operating costs as a guide.

    (d)

    For one (1) ninety-five-gallon container supplied by the City or their designated recycling contractor, for recyclable materials, per residential unit:

    (1)

    A "Residential Unit" is a residential dwelling, mobile home or condominium within the urban area of the City of Norman, occupied by a person or group of persons comprising not more than four (4) families. A condominium dwelling, whether of single or multi-level construction, consisting of not more than four (4) units, shall be treated as a Residential Unit, except that each single-family dwelling within any such Residential Unit shall be billed separately as a Residential Unit in the amount of three dollars ($3.00) per month.

    (2)

    Curbside recycling shall be provided for all urban residential customers at an additional cost of three dollars ($3.00) per month.

    (3)

    Residential and mobile home users under section (d)(1) above, who are low income as defined by Section 8 of the Housing Act of 1937, amended by the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as annually adjusted, two dollars and forty cents ($2.40) per month.

    (4)

    A Residential Unit under section (d)(1) above, desiring more than one (1) ninety-five-gallon recyclable materials container supplied by the City or their designated recycling contractor, will be charged an additional monthly administrative fee for each additional cart. The administrative fee will be on file in the City Clerk's office.
